Big Eyes Mascara Tutorial (Drugstore Friendly!)

Hey guys!

I'm pretty sure all of us Asian girls struggle with short, stick straight lashes right. If you don't, well, you're one of the lucky ones. I for one, have super thin lashes and are absolutely straight. I have tons of mascara that are more or less useless but I have found the perfect mascara routine to get those lashes at its best! Best of all, the mascaras used are all found in drugstores and aren't all that pricey.

Interested from going from nothing to something like this?

Then keep on reading!

STEPS:

1. The first thing you want to do is to curl your lashes. Start from the roots of your lashes, then clamp down once and hold for a few seconds. After that clamp the middle section of your lashes and hold for a few seconds. And repeat the step for the tips of your lashes. You should get a nice C shaped lashes at this point.

Curled (left), normal (right)

2. Use a Waterproof Curling Mascara. Or a waterproof curling and lengthening mascara. Either one is fine, but it has to be waterproof and curling. That's the most important thing. Waterproof formulas hold curls much better than the non waterproof ones, and because we have straight lashes, don't even bother with the non waterproof ones. Your lashes will just become straight again. I used Maybelline Hyper Curl Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara.

3. Now that your curls are set. I recommend using another waterproof mascara because we're trying to hold the curls at this point. We don't want the curls to be weighed down by the next few steps. To get length in your lashes, use a waterproof lengthening mascara or waterproof lengthening and curling mascara. I used L'oreal False Lash Architect 4D Effect Fibers Waterproof Mascara.

4. By now you should have nice long lashes. So you want to build volume in them now, so grab your volume building mascara and apply it. You don't need to use a waterproof formula anymore, but if you would like to its no problem at all. I used Maybelline Rocket Waterproof Mascara.

5. For your bottom lashes, take your volumizing mascara and coat them.

6. Take a black waterproof pencil or gel liner and line your lash line. Draw small dots at your bottom lash line to create the illusion of more lashes at your bottom lash line.

7. Use a double eyelid glue and create your double eyelid. If you already have double eyelids you can skip this step. ( Will post on how to do this soon)

Freaky eye game going on but this is roughly how you should do it.

And you're done!

Your eyes should be voluminous and fabulous :)
