HOW TO: Clear Skin Face Wash Routine

Hey guys!

Instead of doing a review today, I'll talk about my facial wash routine. It's a simple face wash routine I'm sure everyone can do -you don't need to have the products I use exactly but it is recommended as they are very good!

Here are all my face wash products I use daily!

 L.oreal Gentle Cleansing Milk

Laneige Foam Cleanser Moisture

Vichy Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel

All of these products listed are good for sensitive skin because I have very sensitive skin. It doesn't irritate the skin or cause redness like other products. The L'oreal and Laneige cleansers are hydrating so it also helps moisturize the skin. For Vichy, I have been using since 2008-2009 daily and it's one of the best cleansers for ance prone skin. I have recommended this brand to my ance prone friends and those that use it, do not have ance anymore. ( I will do another post on how to clear ance soon.)

PROCESS:

Morning Routine:

1. Splash your face with lukewarm water. This enlarges the pores on your skin, therefore dirt is easier to remove.

2. Use L'oreal Cleansing Milk (or any cleansing milk). Squeeze out about the size of the new 20 cent coin on your palm. Rub both palms together to spread product evenly.

3. Starting from your chin, move in a circular motion upwards to your forehead. Continue to do so until your face has even amount of product.

4. Rinse off the cleanser.

5. Now use the Laneige Foam Cleanser (or any gentle moisturizing cleanser). Squeeze out roughly about 5mm. Rub both palms together to spread product evenly.

6. Repeat step 3.

7. Rinse off with cold water. The cold water will close up your pores so dirt will not clog up your skin.

Night Routine:

1. Remove makeup. Even if no makeup is used, use makeup remover to run over face once. (A tutorial on how to remove makeup will be uploaded soon).

2. Use L'oreal Cleansing Milk. Repeat morning step 2,3 and 4. The milk cleanser will help remove any makeup residue that wasn't washed away.

3. Use Vichy Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel ( Or your normal cleanser for x y). If you have a pump applicator, pump only once. If you do not have a pump applicator, squeeze out 5mm. Rub palms together to even out product.

4. Repeat morning step 3 and 7.

And you're done!

SIDE NOTE:

When applying cleansing milk, instead of applying it directly onto your face, you can also apply it on a cotton pad and gently go around your face with it then wash it off. Or, you can apply it directly onto your face then remove with a cotton pad instead of water. However, I generally prefer to do the steps listed above because it's much faster when I'm rushing in the morning. In the night, it depends how late it is. So just go with what works with you!

WHY THESE PRODUCTS?

1. L'oreal Gentle Cleansing Milk: I love this cleansing milk because it leaves my skin feeling absolutely fresh and smooth! Milk cleansers are very gentle on the skin. They're most suitable to use when you need to wash your face early in the morning as it's not harsh on the skin. They remove dirt and makeup residue each wash. If your skin is very dry, I recommend finding a moisturising milk cleanser. If you have normal skin, a normal milk cleanser will do.

2. Laniege Foam Cleanser Moisture: This is one of the best facial cleansers I've used -it's very gentle on the skin. After each wash, your skin is left baby smooth and deeply moisturised. Other gentle cleansers can't compete with Laneige.

3. Vichy Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel ( For acne prone skin): It's the best of the best for sensetive and for acne prone skin. It's extremely gentle on the skin, but washes away all impurities on the skin too. If you have terrible acne, I recommend not to use any deeply moisturising product as that will clog up your pores and cause more pimples. Use Vichy twice a day(morning and night) to get best results. However, you cannot find Vichy in Malaysia anymore but you can get them online, or if you go to Thailand or Singapore. They're available in the drugstores.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

So that's how my facial routine is! The products and steps listed above would definitely help clear up your skin beautifully.

Let me know your thoughts -I'd love to hear them all!

With love,
Aly
